Hello! Welcome, and I hope you stay awhile! My name is Hannah. I have spent two decades exploring the wonders of art. Whether as a student, in the privacy of my home, or sharing with children and parents--art has always been an important part of me. Recently, an emphasis of my art has dealt with children. In this blog, I'll share my recent projects, classroom instruction, and the work of my students. I hope you will be inspired, and if you are, I hope you visit often. Happy Blogging!

Leah's portrait study
Could you believe this portrait study was done by a 6 year old?
The first one was drawn with a pencil, and colored with color pencils. (I'll have to add that I did help her just a little bit on the lips, that's it!) And, I thought that it'll be great if we can expand on her skill using different mediums. She put her first drawing on the window, put another white sheet of paper over it, and traced the image. The second one was done by drawing the outline with glue, waited until it's fully dried, and colored with pastels. I told her, "For the third one, you can make it as colorful as you want it to be". And, that's what she did. She used water-soluble crayon to color, and used just water to brush all over. She had so much fun, and she became very confident in using different mediums.
