Hannah's Art School

I took one giant leap of faith. Earlier today, my application for a business lease was approved, and Hannah's Art School will officially open in Centreville, VA, March 2012! So excited!

There are things that I value in raising children, teaching art. I would like to influence more students with my values and virtues, morals and even a creative way of thinking!

I am working on a few things that will represent the school: wall decorations, a clock, a sign...so many things I want to make for the place! 

This is certainly not done. I'll keep you updated with the progress!

Hello, Grave Danger fans! Here's a fun 3-D Sea Battle project that Justin and Leo started today. They are going to create the Sea with different types of blue and green papers, and build a ship, and utilize these characters effectively on the ship.

This series of drawings are done by six years old, Leah. (Check out Leah's portrait study as well!)

First, she uses a pencil to draw the object very carefully observing the contour lines of the object.

 We liked the outcome so much, and we saw lots of potential to explore this study further.

 We decided to make a few copies of Leah's original drawing and colored with color pencils...

...defined the lines with brush-tipped marker and colored with three toned-down colors...

...and, she even changed the designs to create a little variation in the series of study!
